Tathāgato yo karuṇākaro karo,
The Tathāgata, who, making compassion,
Đấng Như Lai, bậc từ bi, đã làm (việc lợi ích),

Payāta’mosajja sukhappadaṃ padaṃ;
attained the state that gives happiness;
Đã đến nơi an lạc, là chỗ (an ổn);

Akā paratthaṃ kalisambhave bhave,
and performed for the welfare of others in this realm born of defilements;
Đã làm lợi ích cho người khác trong đời ô nhiễm này,

Namāmi taṃ kevaladukkaraṃ karaṃ.
I pay homage to him, who performed utterly difficult deeds.
Con xin đảnh lễ Ngài, bậc đã làm những việc cực kỳ khó khăn.

Apūjayuṃ yaṃ munikuñjarā jarā,
That which the foremost sages worshipped,
Bậc Đại Hiền (Đức Phật) đã tôn kính Pháp,

Rujādimuttā yahimuttare tare;
where those freed from old age, sickness, and so forth, cross over to the excellent shore;
Nơi mà các bậc đã thoát khỏi già, bệnh, v.v., đã vượt qua (khổ đau);

Ṭhitā tivaṭṭambunidhiṃ narānarā,
having stood, men and devas cross the ocean of the three rounds (of existence),
Các chúng sanh và phi nhân đã đứng vững trên Pháp, vượt qua biển ba vòng luân hồi,

Tariṃsu taṃ dhammamaghappahaṃ pahaṃ.
I pay homage to that Dhamma, the dispeller of sin and light.
Họ đã vượt qua Pháp ấy, là ánh sáng diệt trừ tội lỗi.

Gataṃ munindo’rasasūnutaṃ nutaṃ,
And the Saṅgha, who have attained the state of children born from the Munīndo's breast, worthy of praise,

Supuññakhettaṃ bhuvane sutaṃ sutaṃ;
a supreme field of merit, known throughout the world,
Là ruộng phước tối thượng nổi tiếng trên thế gian;

Gaṇampi pāṇīkatasaṃvaraṃ varaṃ,
who have taken restraint as their life, the best,
Là đoàn thể các bậc trì giới cao quý,

Sadā guṇoghena nirantara’ntaraṃ.
always filled with a collection of virtues.

Nāmaliṅgesu kosalla, matthanicchayakāraṇaṃ;
Since skill in nouns and genders is the cause of determining meaning,

Yato mahabbalaṃ buddha, vacane pāṭavatthinaṃ.
it is of great strength for those proficient in the Buddha's word.

Nāmaliṅgānya’to buddha, bhāsitassā’rahānya’haṃ;
Therefore, I shall reveal and present these nouns and genders relevant to the Buddha's teaching,
