97. At one time the Buddha, the Fortunate One, was staying at Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika's Park.

So he announced it to the bhikkhus, saying: "Friends, I have fallen into an offense of intentional seminal emission that was not confessed.

104. That bhikkhu, having completed his parivāsa, informed the bhikkhus: “Friends, I incurred one offense, an intentional emission of semen, concealed for one day.

If it is appropriate for the Saṅgha, the Saṅgha should suspend the bhikkhu Udāyī to the origin (mūlāya paṭikasseyya) for the additional offense of intentional emission of semen, which was not concealed.

Yassāyasmato khamati udāyissa bhikkhuno antarā ekissā āpattiyā sañcetanikāya sukkavissaṭṭhiyā appaṭicchannāya mūlāyapaṭikassanā, so tuṇhassa; yassa nakkhamati, so bhāseyya.
If any venerable sir approves of Udāyī the bhikkhu being suspended to the origin (mūlāyapaṭikassanā) for the additional offense of intentional emission of semen, which was not concealed, he should remain silent; if anyone does not approve, he should speak.”

112. Having completed his parivāsa, being one who deserved mānatta, he committed an additional offense of intentional emission of semen, which was not concealed.

And this is how, bhikkhus, he should be suspended to the origin—

“That bhikkhu Udāyī, bhikkhus, having approached the Saṅgha…pe… should be addressed thus: ‘Venerable sirs, I incurred a certain offense, an intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days.

The Saṅgha granted me five days’ probation for this offense, an intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days…pe… Venerable sirs, having completed the probation, I request six nights’ mānatta from the Saṅgha for these three offenses.’

He informed the bhikkhus: “Friends, I incurred a certain offense, an intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days…pe… while undergoing mānatta, I then incurred a certain offense, an intentional emission of semen, unconcealed.

So bhikkhūnaṃ ārocesi – ‘‘ahaṃ, āvuso, ekaṃ āpattiṃ āpajjiṃ sañcetanikaṃ sukkavissaṭṭhiṃ pañcāhappaṭicchannaṃ…pe… sohaṃ ciṇṇamānatto abbhānāraho antarā ekaṃ āpattiṃ āpajjiṃ sañcetanikaṃ sukkavissaṭṭhiṃ appaṭicchannaṃ.
He informed the bhikkhus: “Friends, I incurred a certain offense, an intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days…pe… having completed the mānatta and being worthy of readmission, I then incurred a certain offense, an intentional emission of semen, unconcealed.

“In that case, bhikkhus, let the Sangha reinstate Udāyī Bhikkhu to the beginning for the intermediate single offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days, and give him a combined parivāsa for the former offense.
Đức Thế Tôn nói: “Này chư Tỳ-khưu, vậy thì Tăng đoàn hãy hồi phục Tỳ-khưu Udāyī về nguyên gốc vì một tội cố ý xuất tinh bị che giấu năm ngày mà vị ấy đã phạm trong khi đang thi hành (án), rồi cho vị ấy thi hành Parivāsa kết hợp cho tội trước.

If it is agreeable to any venerable one that the monk Udāyī be subjected to mūlāya paṭikassana for one intervening offense, intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days, they should remain silent; whoever disagrees, should speak.

“And this is how, bhikkhus, conjoint parivāsa for the earlier offense should be granted—that monk Udāyī, bhikkhus, having approached the Saṅgha…pe… should be addressed thus: ‘Venerable Sirs, I committed one offense, intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month.

He informed the bhikkhus: “Friends, I committed one offense, intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month…pe… after undergoing parivāsa, being worthy of mānattā, I committed one intervening offense, intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days.

“Therefore, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha relegate Bhikkhu Udāyī for the offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days, which occurred in between, and give him combined probation for the former offense.
“Vậy thì, này chư Tỳ-kheo, Tăng-già hãy kéo Tỳ-kheo Udāyī về tội gốc đối với một giới tội cố ý xuất tinh đã che giấu năm ngày giữa chừng, và cho phép biệt trú hợp nhất đối với giới tội trước.
Evañca pana, bhikkhave, mūlāya paṭikassitabbo…pe….
And thus, bhikkhus, he should be relegated to the origin… *.”

130. So mānattaṃ caranto antarā ekaṃ āpattiṃ āpajji sañcetanikaṃ sukkavissaṭṭhiṃ pañcāhappaṭicchannaṃ.
130. While undergoing Mānatta, he incurred an offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days.

“Therefore, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha relegate Bhikkhu Udāyī for the offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days, which occurred in between, give him combined probation for the former offense, and then give him a six-night Mānatta.
“Vậy thì, này chư Tỳ-kheo, Tăng-già hãy kéo Tỳ-kheo Udāyī về tội gốc đối với một giới tội cố ý xuất tinh đã che giấu năm ngày giữa chừng, sau khi đã cho phép biệt trú hợp nhất đối với giới tội trước, hãy cho phép thi hành mānatta sáu đêm.

And thus, bhikkhus, he should be relegated to the origin… *.”

131. So ciṇṇamānatto abbhānāraho antarā ekaṃ āpattiṃ āpajji sañcetanikaṃ sukkavissaṭṭhiṃ pañcāhappaṭicchannaṃ.
131. Having completed Mānatta and being fit for rehabilitation, he incurred an offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days.
131. Vị ấy, sau khi đã thi hành mānatta và đủ tư cách được phục quyền, đã phạm một giới tội cố ý xuất tinh đã che giấu năm ngày giữa chừng.
So bhikkhūnaṃ ārocesi – ‘‘ahaṃ, āvuso, ekaṃ āpattiṃ āpajjiṃ sañcetanikaṃ sukkavissaṭṭhiṃ pakkhappaṭicchannaṃ…pe… sohaṃ ciṇṇamānatto abbhānāraho antarā ekaṃ āpattiṃ āpajjiṃ sañcetanikaṃ sukkavissaṭṭhiṃ pañcāhappaṭicchannaṃ.

“Therefore, bhikkhus, that Bhikkhu Udāyī, having approached the Saṅgha, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, bowed to the feet of the senior bhikkhus, squatted on his heels, clasped his hands in salutation, and should be addressed thus: ‘Venerable sirs, I incurred an offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for a fortnight.

134. At one time a certain bhikkhu had incurred many Saṅghādisesa offenses – one offense was concealed for one day, one offense for two days, one offense for three days, one offense for four days, one offense for five days, one offense for six days, one offense for seven days, one offense for eight days, one offense for nine days, one offense for ten days.

So bhikkhūnaṃ ārocesi – ‘‘ahaṃ, āvuso, sambahulā saṅghādisesā āpattiyo āpajjiṃ – ekā āpatti ekāhappaṭicchannā…pe… ekā āpatti dasāhappaṭicchannā.
He informed the bhikkhus: “Friends, I have incurred many Saṅghādisesa offenses – one offense was concealed for one day…pe… one offense for ten days.

“In that case, bhikkhus, the Saṅgha should give that bhikkhu a Samodhānaparivāsa for those offenses, for the period of the offense concealed for ten days.

136. At that time, a certain bhikkhu had committed many Saṅghādisesa offences: one offence was concealed for one day, two offences were concealed for two days, three offences were concealed for three days, four offences were concealed for four days, five offences were concealed for five days, six offences were concealed for six days, seven offences were concealed for seven days, eight offences were concealed for eight days, nine offences were concealed for nine days, ten offences were concealed for ten days.
136. Vào lúc bấy giờ, một Tỳ-khưu nọ đã phạm nhiều tội Tăng-già-bà-thiếp (Saṅghādisesa) – một tội bị che giấu một ngày, hai tội bị che giấu hai ngày, ba tội bị che giấu ba ngày, bốn tội bị che giấu bốn ngày, năm tội bị che giấu năm ngày, sáu tội bị che giấu sáu ngày, bảy tội bị che giấu bảy ngày, tám tội bị che giấu tám ngày, chín tội bị che giấu chín ngày, mười tội bị che giấu mười ngày.
So bhikkhūnaṃ ārocesi – ‘‘ahaṃ, āvuso, sambahulā saṅghādisesā āpattiyo āpajjiṃ, ekā āpatti ekāhappaṭicchannā…pe… dasa āpattiyo dasāhappaṭicchannāyo.
He informed the bhikkhus: “Friends, I have committed many Saṅghādisesa offences: one offence was concealed for one day… (and so on) …ten offences were concealed for ten days.
Vị Tỳ-khưu ấy thưa với các Tỳ-khưu: “Thưa các Tôn giả, tôi đã phạm nhiều tội Tăng-già-bà-thiếp, một tội bị che giấu một ngày…pe… mười tội bị che giấu mười ngày.

“In that case, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha grant that bhikkhu a samodhānaparivāsa based on the duration of those offences among them that have been concealed for the longest time.
“Này các Tỳ-khưu, vậy thì Tăng-già hãy ban hình phạt Parivāsa kết hợp theo tội có thời gian che giấu lâu nhất trong số các tội ấy cho vị Tỳ-khưu đó.
