1226. Terasame upacārepīti aparikkhittassa gāmassa parikkhepārahaṭṭhānasaṅkhāte upacārepi.
1226. In the thirteenth (rule), upacārepī means even in the vicinity, which is the area suitable for enclosing an unenclosed village.
1226. Trong điều thứ mười ba, upacārepī nghĩa là ngay cả trong khu vực lân cận, tức là nơi thích hợp để xây dựng hàng rào bao quanh một ngôi làng chưa được bao quanh.

1227. ‘‘Acchinnacīvarikāyā’’ti sāmaññato vuttepi visesoyevādhippetoti āha ‘‘saṅkaccikacīvaramevā’’ti.
1227. Although stated generally as "acchinnacīvarikāya" (without a torn robe), a specific meaning is intended, so it says "saṅkaccikacīvarameva" (only the saṅkaccika robe).
1227. Mặc dù nói chung là ‘‘acchinnacīvarikāyā’’ (người chưa nhận y), nhưng ý nghĩa đặc biệt được nhấn mạnh, nên nói ‘‘saṅkaccikacīvaramevā’’ (chỉ y saṅkaccika).
Samantato purisānaṃ dassanaṃ kantīyati chindīyati etthāti saṅkacci, adhakkhakaubbhanābhiṭṭhānaṃ, saṅkacce nivasitabbanti saṃkaccikaṃ, tameva cīvaranti saṅkaccikacīvaranti.
Saṅkacci means the area below the armpit and above the navel, where the sight of men is cut off or obstructed; saṅkaccikaṃ means that which should be worn in the saṅkacci; and saṅkaccikacīvara is that very robe.
Saṅkacci là nơi mà tầm nhìn của đàn ông bị cắt đứt, tức là vùng dưới nách, trên rốn và dưới ngực. Y phải được mặc ở vùng saṅkacci, nên gọi là saṃkaccikaṃ, và y đó là saṅkaccikacīvara.
