Pañcavokārā cavantānaṃ acakkhukānaṃ kāmāvacaraṃ upapajjantānaṃ tesaṃ tattha cakkhundriyaṃ na uppajjati, no ca tesaṃ tattha sotindriyaṃ na uppajjissati.
For those passing away from the five-constituent existence, for those without eyes reborn in the sense-sphere, for them the faculty of eye does not arise there, but it is not that their faculty of ear will not arise there.
Đối với những vị đang hoại diệt trong ngũ uẩn hữu, đối với những vị không có mắt đang tái sanh vào cõi dục giới, nhãn căn của họ nơi ấy không sanh, nhưng nhĩ căn của họ nơi ấy không phải là sẽ không sanh.
Pañcavokāre parinibbantānaṃ asaññasattānaṃ arūpānaṃ tesaṃ tattha cakkhundriyañca na uppajjati sotindriyañca na uppajjissati.
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for formless beings (arūpa), for them the faculty of eye does not arise there, and the faculty of ear will not arise there.
Đối với những vị đang nhập Niết Bàn trong ngũ uẩn hữu, đối với những phi tưởng hữu tình, đối với những vô sắc hữu tình, nhãn căn của họ nơi ấy không sanh và nhĩ căn cũng sẽ không sanh.

For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for those passing away from the form-sphere, for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for formless beings (arūpa), and for those males who, after manifesting in a certain number of existences in this same mode of being, will attain final Nibbāna, for them while passing away, for them the faculty of eye does not arise there, and the female faculty will not arise there.
