Pītisahagato dhammo pītisahagatassa dhammassa ārammaṇapaccayena paccayo – pītisahagatena cittena dānaṃ datvā sīlaṃ samādiyitvā uposathakammaṃ katvā taṃ pītisahagatena cittena paccavekkhati, pītisahagatā jhānā vuṭṭhahitvā, maggā vuṭṭhahitvā, phalā vuṭṭhahitvā taṃ pītisahagatena cittena paccavekkhati.

Joy-associated phenomena are a condition for joy-associated phenomena by way of the object condition – having given a gift, undertaken precepts, and performed the Uposatha practice with a joy-associated mind, one reviews it with a joy-associated mind; having emerged from joy-associated jhāna, emerged from the path, emerged from the fruit, one reviews it with a joy-associated mind.
