Out of compassion for him, spoke these verses.

They are a whirlpool, a great illusion, a destroyer of the holy life;

Knowing this, one should avoid them from afar, for they cause one to sink.

They are insatiable, soft-spoken, hard to fill, like rivers;

Knowing this, one should avoid them from afar, for they cause one to sink.

A wise person should endure until it is accomplished; once accomplished, one may speak as one pleases.
